In reaching their decision, the panel regarded all the evidence presented in this case. It considered this case very carefully and decided to impose a conditions of practice order.
The effect of this order is that Nurse A’s name on the NMC register will show that they are subject to a conditions of practice order and anyone who enquires about their registration will be informed of this order.
The panel decided that this was the appropriate sanction and agreed that an interim order was also required in this case. The interim order was necessary for the protection of the public and is otherwise in the public interest. The order was for a period of 18 months to guard against the risk to the public if Nurse A appealed against the substantive order.
