Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

- Promotes and maintains effective and professional communication with patients, clients, co-workers, and Fred Hutch colleagues.

- Performs specimen processing and moderate complexity laboratory testing following prescribed training and SOPs complying with the laboratory QA/QC program.

Responsibilities
- Handle biological specimens performing processing and clinical assays following the SOP.
- Operates analytical instruments. Performs maintenance, calibrations, and QC consulting a CLT/CT as needed.
- Under the supervision of a CLT/CT, releases results following the SOP.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a high pressure, time-sensitive, and complex healthcare environment.
- Ability to identify and triage issues appropriately.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in chemical, biological, or physical science
- Clinical or research lab experience preferred
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred

The hourly pay range for this position is from $26.99 to $38.43 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
