Requirements for Inpatient Telemetry RN:
- Current RN license and good standing with the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year full-time experience as an inpatient Telemetry RN within the last year.
- APRNs who apply must have recent bedside experience under RN scope of practice.
- Strong ACLS skills, excellent understanding of ECG interpretation, and familiarity caring for patients with common cardiac issues including Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, and COPD.
- Familiarity in managing patients admitted for CHF Diuresis, chest pain rule out, stroke rule out, cardioversions, and post cardiac catheterization patient care.
- Strong familiarity caring for patients requiring titrated drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin.
- Experience working on an Observation/Short Stay type of unit is preferred.
