Position Summary:
The CNA/Transporter performs various duties and functions throughout the hospital including assistance in basic nursing care of the newborn to geriatric population, transportation of patients and clerical functions under the direction and supervision of the R.N. Incumbent is familiar with and provides age-appropriate care. This position requires a service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of supporting the delivery of care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision-making is expected in the execution of daily routine duties. Decisions regarding patient care or services require the review and approval of the Registered Nurse. Internal contacts may include patients, visitors, and hospital staff and management. External contacts include physicians, patients, families and visitors.
Previous patient care experience preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Certified Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure
